KINGS DON’T BEG!
By James King
God made man as a King. In His own image He made both male and female.
Genesis 1:26 ‘Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our own image, in our likeness, so that they may RULE…’ ‘
28 ‘God blessed them and said to them ‘….RULE over the fish of the see and over the fowl of the heaven, and all that moveth upon the earth.’’ (GNV)
God in His own wisdom made us in His likeness. He is the King of kings. He couldn’t make us anything less than kings to be as He is. But man gave his Kingship authority to the devil when he gave in to his deception. Man became subject to the sinful nature which is of the devil.
However, when Christ was glorified, He restored man into his position, giving him even more authority. In John 1:12-13, all those who believe are born again, born of God and only they enjoy the restoration of righteousness and Kingship in Christ. And this is the results of the restoration:
1 John 4:17 ‘….because as He is, so are we in this world.’ (KJV)
So as Christ is, right now as He is in heaven, so are we currently on earth. We are in His likeness. Furthermore, we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. We reign with Christ in the heavenly places.
Romans 5:17b ‘…much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall REIGN in life by one, Jesus Christ.’ (KJV)
Revelation 1:6 ‘and hath made us KINGS and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.’ (KJV)
John 17:22 ‘I have given them the glory that you gave me,…’ (NIV)
This is the much Christ has loved us. This is the much he value us.
Now, He doesn’t want us to beg, not even to him. And this is why;
2nd Peter 1:3 ‘according as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue (KJV)
Therefore, we do not beg. Everything we need have we received.
Several men of God in the Bible understood their position in the Kingdom. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, Solomon, Elijah, Elisha, Jehoshaphat, Jeremiah, Job, Daniel, Shadrack, Meshack, Abednego, Apostles… The list is endless
Even when their lives were threatened, when what belonged to them was taken from them, when things didn’t work out, they didn’t beg. No, they didn’t beg. They made decrees and gave thanks. And their words came to pass, they received what was theirs and even more. They took cities. For they understood:
Ecclesiastes 8:4 ‘Where the word of a king is, there is power; and who may say unto him, what doest thou? (KJV)
We don’t beg for food, we don’t beg to live, we don’t beg for money, we don’t beg men, we don’t beg God, we don’t even beg.
Begging is like an insult to who we are. It is an insult to the work and idea of God. How can a king beg? How can you beg and yet you have received everything? It is not even logical.
This is what pleases the Lord: that we may take dominion, as it was and is His idea, both in our lives and our areas of calling, and take everything that He has freely given us. Make decrees and give thanks. So stop begging, go take it. You have the authority. The way of taking things is by your word as a King.
KINGS DON’T BEG! KINGS MAKE DECREES! KINGS GIVE THANKS!
